Description
The building at Blücherstraße 32, consisting of a front building and left and right sidewings, is a beautiful old Berlin building from the early 1920s. The apartment offered here is located on the ground floor of the left wing and, with a size of approx. 44 m², has two rooms, a kitchen, and a bathroom. It needs a little attention here and there, but all in all, it is not a major undertaking and is more cosmetic in nature. In return, it has 3.90 m high ceilings and features typical of older buildings, such as wide floorboards and panel doors. Despite its location on the ground floor, the apartment is quiet and comparatively bright. Blücherstraße 32 is located in the Urbanhafen/Südstern social preservation area.
Location
Blücherstraße in Kreuzberg runs from Mehringdamm in the north-west to Südstern in the south-east. While the section between Mehringdamm and Urbanstraße is very busy, it becomes much quieter from Baerwaldstraße onwards. The Fontanepromenade, which leads from Südstern to Urbanstraße, is ideal for jogging or walking the dog. Just two blocks further south-west is Marheinkeplatz and Bergmannstraße, one of Berlin's most popular promenades. Here you will find everything your heart desires: from Pilates and Tai Chi to crime thrillers at ‘Hammett’ and culinary highlights such as ‘Austria’ or ‘Molinari’. The Marheineke market hall is also very popular. On the other side, towards Urbanstraße, the Blücherstraße sports ground is just a few steps away, from where the Prinzenbad and Böcklerpark are just three blocks away. A walk along the water - a particular highlight in summer - leads to Graefekiez, where you will find cosy cafés. Alternatively, you can follow Blücherstraße eastwards to Südstern and on to the green Volkspark Hasenheide. The neighbourhood also offers excellent public transport connections: the U7 underground line at Südstern and the U6 at Mehringdamm are within easy reach, as are various bus routes. The city motorway is also easy to reach via Mehringdamm.
