Description
For sale is a bright, light-filled, freshly renovated 2-room apartment in a classic building right next to the large, green Schiller park. The kitchen and bathroom face the well-kept inner courtyard, with its mature trees. The modern kitchen is fully equipped (dishwasher, washing machine, etc.) and features a cozy dining nook by the window. The bathroom has an extremely pleasing layout, natural light, and custom-made vanity unit. In fact, there are nice little extras here and there throughout the entire apartment. The two rooms facing the park are roughly the same size, but one has access to the loggia (there used to be a hammock here - you can imagine how it feels to lie in it on a balmy afternoon, read a book, listen to music and look up towards the gently swaying treetops). If you can agree on who gets which room, the apartment is also ideal for use as a shared flat. Finally, coming back to the nice little extras mentioned above: these include well-kept wooden floorboards, stylish door handles, unexpected storage space, refurbished wooden box double windows and, of course, the great view of the adjacent park.
Location
Edinburger Strasse runs north parallel to Müllerstrasse along Schiller park in the English Quarter of Berlin's Wedding district. Although Schiller park is not one of the largest parks in the city, it is undoubtedly one of the most interesting. Two large, tree-lined meadows are wonderful places to spend time. Wandering through the park, you also come across terraces, an old fortress, and a beautiful rose garden, to name just a few attractions. Of course, you can also go jogging here. If you walk two or three hundred meters to Müllerstraße, the park’s birdsong is replaced by Wedding’s hustle and bustle. Here, you’re right in the middle of this vibrant neighborhood. The shopping opportunities are correspondingly colorful and varied: you’ll find Turkish and Vietnamese shops African fruit and vegetable vendors, Kaufland and Edeka. In short, everything to suit your tastes. The local cuisine is just as colorful and varied. “Berlin at its best”, so to speak. Müllerstraße is connected to public transport via the Rehberge subway station on the U6 underground line. Leopoldplatz, the center of this exciting district, is just two stops away. If you travel a few stops further, you can get directly to Friedrichstraße, and the city center.
