Location Jablonskistraße is a quiet, tree-lined street in the lovely Winsviertel neighborhood. Extending south from Danziger Straße, the Winsviertel is like a quieter sibling of the equally lovely neighborhood around Kollwitzplatz, just a short walk away.
The Winsviertel is part of Prenzlauer Berg, and stands for everything that makes this part of Berin so special: A zest for life, a sense of family, neighborliness, friendship and social interaction. The "real Prenzelberger” still exists here. He lives next door to long-established and newcomer creatives, young families and aging bon vivants. Walking along Winsstrasse, you’ll come across the cozy organic store "Enten und Katzen," which has great food and groceries, while next door at Tomsky, you can still smoke with a beer. For the hangover afterwards there is wonderful, home-roasted coffee at Cafelix (also on Winsstraße). Johnny's Enoteca "Sorsi e Morsi", around the corner in Marienburger Straße, is where the neighborhood meets in the evening... unfortunately no longer an insider tip either, but - what the heck? - Johnny's success is well deserved. And there’s plenty to do for kids, too -- they can’t get enough of the large playground on Marienburger Straße. All in all: a neighborhood to live in, and to love!
