On Fischerinsel, the House of One is being built, perhaps the most important intercultural project of the 21st ¬century. In between, to the south of the Magistrale, rise the eight 23- and 25-storey ¬high-rise residential buildings with their striking loggias, ¬built in pairs. -Opposite, on the north side of Leipziger Straße, its long ¬14-storey counterpart. Depending on which side and at which height of the Leipziger Straße complex you reside, you have a unique panoramic view of the ¬city's most prominent ¬sights, including the Reichstag, the German Cathedral, the Berlin Cathedral, the Red City Hall, the TV Tower ... and the hustle and bustle of the street is far away. The central east-west subway line U2 can be reached in a few minutes walk either at Spittelmarkt or the Stadtmitte stop. There you can also get on the U6, which ¬goes ¬north to Wedding and south ¬to Tempelhof. The A100 can be reached in about 25 minutes.
